WoodWords
WoodWords was the member publication of the Wood Truss Council of America, and was also sent to potential members and related industry professionals.
In 1998, the magazine was repositioned as Building Components, with WoodWords moving to a newsletter format.
In 1999, the success of BC prompted the WTCA to bring back WW as a full-scale magazine, and KE was hired to manage the operations of the magazine, as it had done previously.
My responsibilities included:
*Directing the work of the magazine's managing
editor, including editing 100 percent of the magazine's
editorial.
*Managing the activities of the art department.
*Developing print and online sales and marketing materials.
*Directing production and printing of the magazine and collateral
pieces.
My accomplishments included:
*Helping the WTCA reposition their newsletter
as a full-scale trade magazine.
*Developing print media kit and collateral materials.
*Overseeing the transition of the magazine's publication from KE
to the WTCA after the first year, while KE continued to publish BC.
